UNI Wellness and Recreations Services will host summer camps

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa will be keeping students active this summer.  UNI Wellness and Recreation Services will provide two camps for elementary and middle school kids: Outdoor Adventure Camp and All Sports Camp.

Outdoor Adventure Camp offers students between the ages of 9 and 12 action-packed activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fire building and animal tracking and identification.  The camp will be held Monday, June 17 through Wednesday, June 19, at the Wellness and Recreation Center (WRC) at UNI.

In All Sports Camp kids between the ages of 6 and 12 participate in a wide variety of sports including flag football, table tennis, rock climbing, basketball, swimming, kickball, baseball, softball, dodgeball, pickleball and ultimate Frisbee. The camp also includes nutritional and environmental presentations. This camp will be held twice during the summer on Monday, June 24 through Wednesday, June 26 and on Monday, July 29 through Wednesday, July 31, at the WRC at UNI.
