CEDAR FALLS, Iowa â€“ The University of Northern Iowa Continuing Education & Special Programs is accepting enrollments for the upcoming one-credit workshop, "Teaching Anne Frank's Life and Diary." The workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, May 5. Students will earn 1 graduate credit for the workshop at the Putnam Museum in Davenport, Iowa.
The workshop is organized around the traveling exhibit Anne Frank: A History for Today, created by the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. The workshop includes an extended guided tour of the exhibit for all participants. The workshop has been designed to provide an opportunity for participants to share and discuss approaches, techniques, activities and materials they have used in teaching Anne Frank's life and diary, as well as to brainstorm and begin developing new ideas for presenting Anne Frank to 21st century students.
