UNI to host event on feeding Black Hawk County

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa Center for Energy and Environmental Education (CEEE) will host "Feeding Black Hawk County Region" from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 7, in the CEEE. Tickets are $20 for the general public and free for UNI students, and include a lunch buffet.

The event will host community leaders, elected officials, school administrators, and food-oriented businesses and organizations that are interested in building strong community economic relations around locally grown foods. The program will cover many topics, including new local food enterprises, economic impacts of locally grown foods and increasing access to healthy food.
