CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa Textiles and Apparel program (TAPP) will hold its 22nd annual design show, "Catwalk 22: Stripped," at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 26, in Lang Hall Auditorium on the UNI campus.

All students enrolled in TAPP classes this academic year were encouraged to design and construct original garments for the show. All entered pieces were juried by Stephanie Barness and Holly Humke-Williams, TAPP alumnae currently working for Eco Lips in Cedar Rapids and Powers Manufacturing in Waterloo. Garments were chosen for the runway based on details such as construction and creativity. Students were also responsible for promotion, stylization, set design, choreography and music for the show.

This year's design show was inspired by traditional runway shows and features a minimalist, back-to-basics theme.

The event is free and open to the public; doors open at 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact Annette Lynch, professor in the School of Applied Human Sciences, at 319-273-3054 or
