UNI Suzuki School will hold August orientation and pre-instrument sessions

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa's Suzuki School will be welcoming parents and new students this August to learn more about the program.

A violin and viola young beginners class for students ages 4 through 6 will begin with a parent orientation at 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 12, in Russell Hall on the UNI campus. Pre-instrument sessions will be held for both parents and students at 6 p.m., Mondays and Thursdays, Aug. 15 through Aug. 29, in Russell Hall. Instruments are not required for these sessions.

These sessions are required for students joining the UNI Suzuki School for the 2013-14 academic year. Pre-registration is required. Students younger than 4 may apply, but continued enrollment will depend upon the maturity of the student. Registration deadline is Aug. 10.
