CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa is an outstanding business school for the 10th consecutive year, according to The Princeton Review.

The Princeton Review, known for its widely followed college rankings in dozens of categories based on student ratings, features UNI's College of Business Administration in the just-published 2016 edition of "The Best 295 Business Schools" (Penguin Random House/ Princeton Review, published Oct. 6, 2015).

Leslie Wilson, interim dean of UNI's College of Business Administration, said, "It is gratifying to again receive this honor from The Princeton Review, particularly their recognition of our emphasis on applying theory to practice through live-client projects. Providing opportunities for students to solve real-world business problems is confirmation of our commitment to student success and our ability to deliver a world-class education."

"The Best 295 Business Schools: 2016 Edition" has two-page profiles of the schools with write-ups on their academics, student life and admissions, plus ratings for their academics, selectivity and career placement services. In the profile on UNI, the Princeton Review editors say, "UNI is a well-respected business school that puts an emphasis on teamwork. Students especially rave about business consulting projects that take everything the students have learned and challenges them to apply that knowledge to local businesses or nonprofits with the guidance of mentors."

One student told The Princeton Review that the University of Northern Iowa professors are "responsive to students' needs and know how to present material well." The Princeton Review also describes how the career services office at UNI assists students in understanding how to market their knowledge, training, professionalism and work ethics.

In addition to this recognition from The Princeton Review, the UNI College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International, is among The Military Times' Best for Vets: Business Schools rankings and has earned a U.S. News & World Report best part-time MBA ranking.
