UNI Presidential Scholars hold book drive for Waterloo youth

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI Presidential Scholars are hosting the Panthers for Pages book drive through Monday, April 3. The goal of the drive is to collect books and funds to purchase books for the Waterloo Community School District through a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Waterloo.

Drop-off locations for the book drive include:

  • Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls
  • Farmer’s State Bank, West 1st St. & Hudson Rd., Cedar Falls
  • Lincoln Savings Bank, Viking Rd., Cedar Falls
  • Lincoln Savings Bank, Washington St., Cedar Falls
  • Cedar Heights Presbyterian, Rainbow Dr., Cedar Falls
  • Westminster Presbyterian Church, Kimball Ave., Waterloo
  • Waterloo Public Library, Commercial St., Waterloo
  • Rotary Club of Waterloo, Commercial St., Waterloo
  • KPTY 107.3 The Party, Jefferson St., Waterloo
  • Waverly Public Library, West Bremer Ave., Waverly

Students in the district will be able to take donated books home and keep them in addition to reading the books at school. The group is also accepting monetary donations at drop-off sites as well as online at tinyurl.com/Panthersforpages. The group is specifically looking for books directed at the fourth grade reading level and up, but titles for children of all ages are accepted.
