CEDAR FALLS, Iowa ï¾— The University of Northern Iowa will offer alcohol screening at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in Room 103 of the Wellness and Recreation Center. The event is hosted by UNI's Counseling Center and Substance Abuse Services. Free and open to the public, the screening is anonymous.

Julie Thompson, UNI Substance Abuse Services coordinator, said the program is open to friends and family of persons with potential alcohol problems, and allows them to gather information and meet with a counselor to discuss strategies. Participants may also fill out a brief questionnaire about their own drinking habits.
