CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Joe Ferrara, a member of the national advisory board of the School of the Americas (SOA) Watch, will present an address at 7:30 p.m., Monday, March 10, in the University of Northern Iowa's Seerley Hall, Room 115.

SOA Watch wants to close the U.S. Army's Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation in Georgia, formerly the School of the Americas. Amnesty International alleges the institute trains Latin American counter-insurgency forces who are involved in human rights abuses.

The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the UNI Department of Modern Languages, the UNI chapter of Amnesty International, Cedar Valley Churches for Peace, and members of the UNI Anti-War Coalition.
