CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa Dance Marathon raised $453,278 during their 6th Annual Big Event on Saturday, March 4, exceeding their goal of $400,000. This year’s fundraising total makes UNI Dance Marathon the top Dance Marathon fundraising program in the country for schools with less than 12,000 undergraduate students.
UNI Dance Marathon is the largest student-run philanthropy program at UNI. The organization strives to provide hope and comfort for families with children facing life-threatening illnesses by raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and hosting events that engage students and the community. Since 2012, UNI Dance Marathon has raised over $1,436,000 for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
