CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Political Science, via Continuing and Distance Education, will offer a master's degree in public policy beginning fall 2015. The program is designed for those interested in furthering their education about public policy and the tools needed to assume effective and meaningful positions with public or nonprofit organizations that serve the community.
"This program is ideally constructed for the working professional, with online course offerings and a curriculum designed to enhance skills relating to budgeting, management and program evaluation," said Program Coordinator Christopher Larimer.
The two-year program uses a cohort model in which a group of students moves through the course sequence together. Courses are offered via interactive video conferencing, including Adobe Connect, and online via eLearning, a Blackboard learning environment.
