UNI College of Business Administration names new dean

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Farzad Moussavi, who has served as interim dean of the University of Northern Iowa College of Business Administration since July 2001, has been named dean of the college, pending approval of the Board of Regents, State of Iowa.

Moussavi came to UNI in 1985 as an assistant professor in the Department of Management. In 1995, he was named acting assistant dean and then department head. He later was named associate dean of the college. When Willis 'Bill' Greer retired, Moussavi accepted the role of interim dean.

Moussavi received his Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas and an MBA from Roosevelt University, Chicago. Moussavi received a post-graduate Diploma in Administration Studies from Leeds Polytechnic, Leeds, England; and a B.A. from the Institute of Advanced Accounting, Tehran, Iran.
