CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa's American Advertising Federation (AAF) student chapter won first place at the AFF District 9 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) on April 17, in Kansas City.
NASC is an annual AAF event in which they partner with a major corporate client to create an integrated marketing campaign. This year's corporate client was Pizza Hut.
The UNI students worked on the campaign through two marketing elective classes: Experimental Marketing in the fall and Advertising Campaign Development in the spring. Marketing instructor and adviser of AFF-UNI Matthew Wilson teaches both classes.
"Our team this year was unflappable," said Wilson. "They diligently worked toward overcoming the challenges, unfazed by obstacles."
