Theatre UNI to host presentation by guest designer from Romania

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- A presentation and discussion by Romanian-born scenic and costume designer, Dan Nemteanu, will be hosted by Theatre UNI at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 21, in the University of Northern Iowa's Strayer-Wood Theatre. The presentation is part of Theatre UNI's ongoing series, 'My Life in Art.'

Nemteanu, now a Swedish citizen, has worked as a theatrical designer since 1956 in Romania, Israel, Finland, Denmark, Norway and the United States. He has been an associate professor at the University of Iowa since 1986. Other teaching assignments have included the University of Lund Architecture Department in Sweden and the Royal School of Music in Copenhagen.
