New UNI ROTC Hall of Fame to induct two alumni

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa Reserved Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) will induct two alumni into the new UNI ROTC Hall of Fame at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, in the West Gym located on UNI’s campus.

The inductees are Col. Patrick W. Williams, ’86, and John Gallagher, ’83. Williams and Gallagher were also the first two UNI ROTC alumni inducted into the U.S. Army Cadet Command’s ROTC Hall of Fame at Fort Knox, Kentucky, this summer as part of the ROTC’s 100th Anniversary celebration.

The Panther Battalion Hall of Fame induction is part of a series of events throughout UNI’s Homecoming Week. All ROTC alumni, friends of the ROTC program, and Cadets are welcome to attend the ROTC open house from 1 p.m. to 3p.m., Friday, Sept. 30,, in the West Gym. The Panther Battalion will also host a breakfast for all program alumni and ROTC tailgate participants immediately following the UNI Homecoming Parade on Oct. 1.
