MyEntre.Net hosts August webinars for Iowa small-business owners

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- MyEntre.Net, Iowa’s online community of 11,500 small business owners, will host free webinars in August covering blogging for your business and the Iowa Targeted Small Business Program. 

At noon, Thursday, Aug. 9, Stan Smith will discuss seven easy steps for building and promoting a business blog. Attendees will learn how to generate 52 blog post ideas in 30 minutes, the best way to promote a blog and how to turn blog visitors into customers. 

Smith is a nationally known online marketing and social media strategist. He is the founder of a leading resource for business blogging recently rated as the no. 6 top social media blog in the world by Social Media Examiner. He has created award-winning social media strategies for both Fortune 500 companies and small town retailers.

At noon, Thursday, Aug. 23, Alana Anderson will discuss the Targeted Small Business (TSB) Program of Iowa. This innovative loan program is designed to help women, minorities and people with disabilities start or expand a small business in Iowa.

Anderson is the program manager for the TSB Program at the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA). She works with both startup and existing businesses to provide low-cost funding for business development and expansion.
