Minnesota Ballet to present 'The Nutcracker' at Gallagher Bluedorn

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The Minnesota Ballet will perform the holiday favorite "The Nutcracker" over two days, Saturday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m., at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center on the University of Northern Iowa campus. 

"The Nutcracker" is a Christmas holiday tradition in the Cedar Valley and showcases more than 100 dancers from Eastern Iowa in the show.

This presentation is supported by the Arts Midwest Touring Fund, a program of Arts Midwest that is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional contributions from the Iowa Arts Council, the Crane Group and General Mills Foundation.

Ticket prices for "The Nutcracker" performance begin at $19 ($1 for children) and can be purchased at any UNItix location, at www.gbpac.com/Nutcracker or by calling 319-273-4849. UNI students must bring their school ID to the Gallagher Bluedorn box office to receive their free ticket.
