CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa's School of Health, Physical Education and Leisure Services will hold the Kindergym program again this fall. The program will be offered on six Saturdays starting Sept. 12 and ending Oct. 24 in the main gym at the Wellness Recreation Center (WRC) on UNI's campus. The WRC will be closed on Saturday Oct. 17 for Homecoming weekend.

Kindergym is an informal learning program focusing on the development and refinement of motor skills for 2- to 5-year-olds. The 2- and 3-year-olds will meet from 10 to 10:50 a.m., and the 4- and 5-year-olds will meet from 9 to 9:50 a.m. The registration fee is $32 for the first child and $27 for a second child, which includes an official Kindergym T-shirt.

Kindergym is a parent/child program, so parents are requested to attend the sessions with their child. The physical activity stations will focus on age-appropriate movement skills that encourage success in a fun atmosphere.

For more information, contact Rip Marston at 319-273-6882 or the program director, Karyn Finn, at 319-610-0501. For the registration form, visit uni.edu/coe/sites/default/files/wysiwyg/kindergym.
