CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa will host UNI Day at the Statehouse from noon to 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 13, at the Iowa Capitol in Des Moines. The event will highlight UNI programs and inform legislators about the impact UNI has on the state.
“UNI Day at the Capitol is an amazing opportunity to illustrate how the incredible work of our students, faculty and staff benefits the state of Iowa,” said UNI President Mark A. Nook. “We are fortunate to have so many members of the UNI community engage with our legislators and advocate for our university, and I’m thrilled to be sharing my first UNI Day with such passionate individuals.”
At UNI Day at the Capitol, students, faculty and staff will showcase interactive displays highlighting various UNI programs, departments and organizations. Alumni are encouraged to attend to reconnect with their university and speak with their elected officials about the value of UNI.
