Grammy-nominated drummer Rich Redmond to perform at UNI

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Rich Redmond, a top recording artist and touring musician, will visit UNI on Oct. 16 and 17 as a guest artist with the UNI Panther Marching Band.

Redmond is one of the most in-demand drummers in the music industry. He has toured and performed with countless artists, including Jason Aldean, Ludacris, Kelly Clarkson, Kid Rock, Jewel, Joe Perry and more. Redmond has been featured on 19 No. 1 hits, sold more than 13 million downloads, recorded multiple platinum records and performed live for more than 1 million people each year.

At 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16, in Graham Recital Hall in the Russell Music Building, Redmond will give his presentation titled, "CRASH Course for Success." This motivational and educational presentation is more than just a drumming lesson. Redmond discusses the skill sets needed to be successful in life with his "CRASH" concept, which stands for: commitment, relationships, attitude, skill and hunger. This presentation is free and open to the public.
