First UNI presidential candidate to visit UNI

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Three candidates for the position of president of the University of Northern Iowa will make campus visits during the next two weeks. The candidates' two-day visits will include meetings with students, faculty and staff and a public forum where each will make a presentation and address audience questions. The first candidate is William N. Ruud, (ROOD) president of Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, who will visit campus Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 28 and 29. His public forum will be at 3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 28, in the Maucker Union Old Central Ballroom. Ruud's biography and curriculum vitae are posted online at new UNI president will succeed retiring President Benjamin Allen. Allen became the university's ninth president in 2006.
