CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The Danish String Quartet, a Scandinavian group of three Danes and one Norwegian, will perform at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16, in the Great Hall. Seating is limited to 200 attendants, as the audience will be seated on stage with the performers.
The group met in the Danish countryside at a summer camp for enthusiastic musicians. It was there they found a shared joy of playing music and their friendship began. All classically trained at The Royal Academy of Music and continual students of classical music, the Washington Post deems the group as "one of the best quartets before the public today."
Tickets are $49 and can be purchased at any UNItix location, www.gbpac.com/DanishStringQuartet or by calling 319-273-4849. Students must bring their school ID to the Gallagher Bluedorn box office to receive their free ticket.
