CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa's Child Development Center (CDC) is participating as a contractor in an Early Head Start Child Care Partnership grant with Tri-County Child and Family. The contract will support 16 children whose parents attend UNI. This grant is for evening childcare at the CDC while parents attend classes, study or work.

This grant will give qualifying UNI parents the advantage of having free childcare right on campus while they concentrate on their classes or work. Recruitment is underway for parents to sign their children up to attend this program at the CDC. In order to qualify for this new evening childcare program, one must meet the Head Start program's income eligibility and be a current UNI student. For easy access to more information regarding eligibility, visit tricountychildandfamily.org under the "How to Enroll" tab.

The CDC is a childcare and instruction resource for all students, faculty and staff at UNI. Part of the College of Education, their mission is to provide a nurturing and safe environment to support learning for the families and students of the university.
