CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The city of Cedar Falls, home of the University of Northern Iowa, was ranked No. 22 on the list of "50 Great Affordable College Towns" according to Great Value Colleges. It's also the only city in the state of Iowa to be on the list. The Cedar Falls Tourism Bureau says, "residents of Cedar Falls have a strong sense of pride in their community. Cedar Falls boasts a competitive school system, a collaborating relationship with the University of Northern Iowa and experienced community leaders."

In addition to this honor for the city, US News & World Report consistently ranks UNI second among Midwest colleges, doing so for 12 consecutive years. Likewise, according to the Princeton Review, UNI is consistently labeled as "Best in the Midwest."
